Scranton Eager To Race In Houston BAYTOWN, Texas -- For Florida resident, Matt Scranton, a lifelong dream was fulfilled just two weeks ago at the Gatornationals. The former Sport Compact driver had long dreamed of racing in NHRA Pro Stock, a dream which he realized at the noted track located in Gainesville, FL. "I dreamed of racing Pro Stock my entire life. I would have been happy to go out and just make four qualifying passes and enjoy a weekend of learning my way around my new surroundings" said Scranton. Instead of simply making four qualifying passes Scranton also made three passes in eliminations taking out Warren Johnson and Erica Enders, Scranton's dream weekend came to an end at the hands of the man who has been instrumental in helping Scranton to make to leap to Pro Stock, Greg Anderson. "The entire weekend was more than I could have dreamed. Beating Greg would have been great but we didn't quite have the performance." Anderson and the KB Racing team have been very instrumental in Scranton's Pro Stock endeavor as the not only sold a car to Matt but have also been helpful in other areas as well. Scranton and his Tial sponsored team head to Houston Raceway Park with high hopes of continuing their momentum from Gainesville. "We are very excited as we roll into Houston for this weekend's event. We plan to go out and attempt to qualify first and then take it one step at a time during eliminations" explained an enthusiastic Scranton. "Once we have qualified we will then turn our attention to Sunday's eliminations and see how we fare." Scranton expresses his appreciation to the KB Racing Team for their part in making his NHRA Pro Stock debut a success. Scranton also expressed his gratitude to Tial Sport for their continued support of his race team.
